About Us

Development Aid Service & Research Organization ( DARO)was established in 2022 as a Local Non-Governmental Organization, None Profit Making, None Politics (Local Humanitarian NGO) with a focused aim of improving stability, democracy, social, economic and reconstruction development among the youth with a view of better future generation. We are a social trust and a non-profit organization whose work is concerned with youth relief (females and males) from vulnerable backgrounds across Somali society.

This organization was founded and established by a group of Somali youth philanthropists who are concerned with the uncomfortable situation of Somali society in Kenya and Somalia. It acknowledges that the many incidences of poverty in the community affect the youth as potential members of society and in effect deny them the basic human rights to education, health, economic, social and political development. In turn, the problem of poverty exacerbates the risk of entrenching marginalization, exclusion and subordination of women in the society. It acknowledges that whereas the many incidences of poverty in the community affect the youth as the potential members of the society and in effect deny them the basic human rights to education, health, economic, social and political development.
